Some Favorite Shots

Some Favorite Shots

I’ve mentioned before that I am a photographer. I started with a Kodak 110 and a Kodak 126 that my mom bought me—two excellent, small pocket-size cameras I wish they still made today. When I was thirteen, I sold my first photo on a foggy, wet day in the Franklin Mountains. It was a great photo.

Now, at the age of fifty-three, I’m shooting film once again.

Film is magical. You have one shot, one try to get the photo you envision. If not, you’re out a few rolls of film searching for that one shot. For the most part, when I have a shot in mind, I will meticulously plan for it and work towards it. Life, however, does not happen with planning.

In other shots, like the girl dancing below, there is noise, and places are out of focus. That is life, reality, and what I love to see in most photographs. It’s something I love.

I hope you enjoy these. A contact box at the bottom of the pages will allow you to purchase a print.
